Phinda Rock Lodge is set into a cliff face overlooking Leopard Rock within the 70,560 acre Phinda Game Reserve in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa.

The Phinda Game Reserve has a remarkable complexity of habitats that include woodland, grassland, wetland, forest, mountain, marsh, and river, and is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino) and more than 430 different bird species. Not far from the Indian Ocean, guests here may enjoy both bush and beach adventures. Guests may enjoy a wide variety of intimate wildlife viewing experiences including twice-daily game drives, bush walks, Zulu village tours, nighttime turtle drives offered seasonally, scuba and ocean safaris, black rhino tracking on foot, and conservation experiences with Cheetah, Black Rhino, White Rhino, Lion, and Nyala.

Phinda Rock Lodge's variety of landscape and vegetation is home to an abundance of wildlife, including not only the Big Five but many rarer and less easily spotted species, such as the elusive cheetah or the scarce black rhino.

Constructed of stone and adobe, and each with a breathtaking view of the valley below, secluded guest suites are air-conditioned with private plunge pools and outdoor showers. Lodge amenities include personalized butler service, complimentary laundry, wifi, and in-room massage. Dine al fresco under the African night sky from an outdoor veranda or a roof-top terrace.

Client Testimonials

"Our honeymoon was definitely the trip of a lifetime and one we will never forget. Thanks so much for making it perfect."
Cindy Chupack, Producer Sex and the City
"We enjoyed this fourth trip to Africa more than any we have made. Singita was beyond anything we have seen before. The service and the setting were incomparable. At Singita we would sit on the balcony and we saw elephants, baboons, impala, the big monitor lizards and in the morning we left two leopards walked across the river. We are so appreciative for all you have done for us and for the wonderful job you always do."
James B. Holloway, Jr. M.D.
"Thank you for a superb job of planning and organizing as everything went smoothly. The country of South Africa so captivated me that my husband and I are already planning a return trip next summer. The only thing to rival the bush and animals was the food. The experience of South Africa is like no other and its effect is difficult to express. I can only encourage others to make the venture."
Laurel J. Snelling, Physician Assistant Associates PLLC.
"I've been traveling all over the world for twenty years, but my trip this month to Africa put together by your firm was the smoothest and best planned trip I've ever made. The various places we stayed were outstanding and the uniqueness of each location added to the charm and atmosphere of the trip. The service I received from the guides, drivers and hotel attendants made me feel like royalty. The most impressive part was how smooth everything worked. Thanks again for your hard work, dedication and professionalism. I look forward to another trip with you."
Mike Blair, Managing director-Investments Wachovia Securities Inc.

From the moment we landed in Cape Town to our departure from Johannesburg, every detail of the agenda exceeded our expectations. The whole trip was an incredible experience from the five star safari lodges, delicious food, excellent service and above all the life changing experience of viewing first hand the magic of the animal kingdom."
